Niso Kalaonra

Niso Kalaonra was born in Istanbul in 1972, and completed his BSc. degree in Istanbul Technical University, Chemical Engineering in 1993. He has completed his MSc. degree from the same faculty and issued several scientific articles. Kalaonra concentrated on “Membrane Based Separation Techniques” during his University period. He started his career in Hunca Kozmetik, in 1996, in Export Department and played an important role in the initiation of the company's operations in Russia, Turkish Republics, Eastern Europe and the Middle East. As of 2000, Kalaonra became Marketing Manager of the company, he managed national and international marketing strategies, communication, brand and product development, promotions. He contributed greatly to the industry leader Hunca's market share, increasing to 35% in the perfume category, and to 22% in the deodorant category. During his period, line extensions of Caldion and Jagler brands have been performed and line extensions followed. She brand for Teenage Girls have been launched successfully and changed the trends in cosmetic market in Turkey. She became one of the most successful teenage brands in Turkey. Kalaonra aims to transfer his 14 years of hands-on experience in the cosmetics and fine fragrance industries onto “Brandessence”. With Brandessence his main target is to let people understand about “the true power of smell”.
