Airport Restroom - Odor Remediation

A major European airport conducted a customer satisfaction study. They found that there was growing client dissatisfaction based primarily on the restrooms. The airport contacted Prolitec, which began a trial on eight restrooms, experimenting with different scents, including a fresh cut grass scent, a cotton candy scent, and a detergent scent.

Prolitec’s trial was a resounding success and the airport decided to change all their previous air freshener systems in 38 restrooms to the Prolitec Restroom Hygiene system. This change has also solved other logistical issues for the airport. For example, Prolitec’s appliances can be installed outside of the restroom and piped in through the wall by a tube, preventing theft or damage to the units, which had been an issue with the previous air freshening system.
